His Excellency Richard Mc
Phail today presented his Letters of Credence to the President of the
Republic of Chile, Michele Bachelet as Grenada’s non-Resident Ambassador
to Chile, Ambassador Mc Phail was accompanied by his spouse Mrs. Paula
Mc Phail.
The Ambassador and his wife were
received very warmly by President Michelle Bachelet and the
Minister for Foreign Relations Alejandro Foxley Riosec at El
Palacio de la Moneda. He then conveyed warm greetings and
good wishes on behalf of the Government and people of
Grenada to the President and people of Chile.
The Ambassador was then invited to a private
discussion on ways and means of enhancing cooperation between Grenada
and Chile in education/human resource development, agriculture, trade &
investment, tourism, culture and other fields. The two sides reiterated
their strong commitment to further strengthen, deepen and broaden
bilateral relations between the two countries.
The official ceremony culminated in the
Ambassador and spouse being accorded full military honors.
During his first official visit to Chile
Ambassador Mc Phail also took the opportunity to meet with several other
key individuals in the areas of Agriculture, Tourism, Investments,
Manufacturing, and Housing as well as senior officials at the Ministry
of Foreign Relations. |
