St. George's, Grenada, February 5th, 2010: Minister for Tourism Honourable Glynis Roberts has announced that Delta Airlines will commence direct  flights from JFK to Grenada on Wednesdays and Saturdays as of June 5th 2010.

This recent development the result of efforts by the Grenada Airlift Committee is in direct response to the planned termination of services to Grenada by Air Jamaica as of March 9th 2010.

Delta was originally scheduled to commence its service to Grenada in July 2010. The Tourism Minister has also disclosed that negotiations are ongoing to have Delta Airlines fill the void earlier in the year.
